You and employer: 10 rules of success

It is not enough of good knowledge and marks to get a good job. A person must be able to persuade people and employer.

Here are 10 rules that will help you to get the job. Of course, these rules are not the guarantee of getting the job, but at least they will help you to feel more confident during the interview.

1. Collect all documents beforehand. Take character reference from the University or the last place of work. Don't forget the certificate that confirms that you got the education in certain field of knowledge. Pay attention to the look of documents they should be neat. It is better to put them into the folder. That will make the impression that you are neat and responsible.

2. Write down speech on the paper and try to pronounce it in front of the mirror. Think over what to say and what not to say.

3. Don't try to impress the employer with your look. Women mustn't put too bright make-up and must put on strict and conservative clothes. Unusual hairdo, extravagant manicure and erotic perfumes must be left at home as they don't make good impression on employers. Men should pay attention to their breath. Don't forget to shave, and pay attention to perfumes.

4. Relax. If a person is nervous, people notice it at once. And according to the logic of employer a person is nervous when he/she has something to hide. Don't drink too much medicine to calm down. It may produce just the opposite effect. Remember you are good and professional.

5. Don't afraid not to be hired. Be ready for any results. Of course don't think about it but still be ready for it.

6. Be natural and don't be nervous. Don't try to smile all the time that makes the impression of being nervous person. Try to listen more than to speak. Be polite.

7. Don't try to show your superiority. Be shy and modest. The only thing that you should show is your competence. Remember you are not passing the exam; you are trying to get the job.

8. Avoid being proud. And don't try to make the impression of a person who knows everything in the world. It makes negative impression. Be independent. If you respect yourself, employer will also respect you.

9. Never say anything bad about your former teachers or chiefs. People may think you like to gossip. And if you tell so much bad things about your former chiefs they may imagine what you may tell about them.

10. And the last recommendation – don't accept all terms at once. Employers will think that you have some other options and will probably propose you better terms.
